Day - 1
Arrival in Jammu
Arrive in Jammu, often referred to as the “City of Temples.” Upon arrival, proceed to Katra, the base town for visiting the revered shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. Surrounded by the Trikuta Mountains, Katra serves as the starting point for one of India’s most significant pilgrimages. After reaching Katra, check in to your hotel and relax.
Day - 2
Katra – Vaishno Devi Darshan
Early morning, begin your pilgrimage to the sacred cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, nestled in the Trikuta Hills. The shrine is one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in India and attracts devotees from across the country. You may choose to undertake the traditional walk to the shrine or opt for alternative modes such as helicopter services, ponies, palanquins, or battery cars for part of the journey. After darshan, devotees often visit the Bhairo Temple, which holds religious significance in completing the pilgrimage. Return to Katra and spend the evening at leisure.
Day - 3
Katra to Patnitop
After breakfast, drive to Patnitop, a charming hill station known for its scenic plateau, cool climate, and panoramic mountain views. Upon arrival, explore local attractions such as Nag Temple and Patnitop Park. If time permits, visit Nathatop for breathtaking valley views or continue towards Sanasar, a picturesque meadow surrounded by dense coniferous forests. Spend the evening enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Overnight in Patnitop.
Day - 4
Patnitop to Pahalgam
After breakfast, proceed towards Pahalgam, famously known as the “Valley of Shepherds.” The drive passes through scenic mountain stretches and river valleys before reaching this beautiful resort town located along the Lidder River. Pahalgam is surrounded by pine forests, lush meadows, and snow-capped peaks, offering a serene retreat. Upon arrival, check in and relax amidst the natural beauty. Overnight in Pahalgam.
Day - 5
Pahalgam
Today explore the stunning valleys around Pahalgam. Visit Aru Valley, known for its expansive meadows and tranquil environment. Continue to Betab Valley, a scenic location surrounded by lush greenery and dramatic mountain backdrops. Proceed to Chandanwari, the starting point of the sacred Amarnath Yatra, set amidst striking Himalayan landscapes. In the afternoon, you may optionally visit Baisaran Valley, a wide grassy meadow offering panoramic views and often described as “Mini Switzerland.” Return to Pahalgam in the evening. Overnight in Pahalgam.
Day - 6
Pahalgam to Gulmarg
After breakfast, drive towards Gulmarg, passing through scenic countryside dotted with saffron fields, apple orchards, and traditional Kashmiri villages. Gulmarg, meaning “Meadow of Flowers,” is known for its rolling green slopes and alpine beauty. Once a favored retreat during the British era, it still retains a charming old-world atmosphere. You may choose to experience the famous Gondola ride, which offers sweeping views of snow-covered peaks and surrounding meadows. Spend the remainder of the day enjoying the serene surroundings. Overnight in Gulmarg.
Day - 7
Gulmarg to Srinagar
After breakfast, drive to Srinagar and check in to your hotel or houseboat. In the afternoon, enjoy a traditional Shikara ride on Dal Lake. Glide through tranquil waters as you pass floating gardens, lotus blooms, vegetable patches, and traditional wooden houseboats. You may also visit local handicraft centers known for papier-mâché and intricate wood carvings. Overnight in Srinagar.
Day - 8
Excursion to Sonmarg
Proceed for a full-day excursion to Sonmarg, known as the “Meadow of Gold.” The journey offers scenic views of the Sind Valley, with rivers, dense forests, and towering mountain peaks lining the route. Upon arrival, visit Thajiwas Glacier, where snow can often be seen even during warmer months. Sonmarg is renowned for its pristine alpine landscapes and serves as a gateway to various trekking routes. Return to Srinagar in the evening. Overnight in Srinagar.
Day - 9
Srinagar
Today explore Srinagar’s cultural and historic landmarks. Visit the Shankaracharya Temple, perched on a hilltop offering panoramic views of the city and Dal Lake. Continue to the beautiful Mughal Gardens, including Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, and Cheshma Shahi. These terraced gardens, built during the Mughal era, feature flowing fountains, manicured lawns, and stunning backdrops of the Himalayas. If time permits, visit the revered Hazratbal Shrine. The rest of the day is free for leisure and shopping.
Day - 10
Departure from Srinagar
After breakfast, transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey, carrying with you spiritual blessings and unforgettable memories of Jammu & Kashmir’s valleys, temples, lakes, and mountains.
