Itinerary

Day - 1

Gangtok: Gateway to the Northeast

Your Himalayan expedition begins as we welcome you at the airport or railway station. We embark on a scenic drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, perched on a ridge overlooking the Ranipool river. As you ascend, the air turns crisp and the lush green landscape unfolds. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. The evening is yours to settle in or stroll along the famous MG Marg, a pedestrian boulevard buzzing with cafes, local culture, and mountain hospitality.

Day - 2

Gangtok: Ethereal Waters & Legends

Today, we ascend to the dizzying heights of the Silk Route to visit the sacred Tsomgo Lake. This glacial body of water changes color with the seasons and reflects the surrounding snow-dusted peaks. Nearby, we visit the legendary Baba Mandir, a shrine dedicated to an Indian soldier believed to protect the border even in spirit. The stark, high-altitude landscape offers a breathtaking contrast to the green valleys below, providing a truly ethereal experience.

Day - 3

Lachung: Journey to the Alpine North

We leave the capital behind and head toward North Sikkim, a realm of raw alpine beauty. The drive to Lachung is an experience in itself, passing through quaint hamlets and rugged terrain. We stop at the spectacular Seven Sisters Waterfall and the Tashi View Point, which offers sweeping panoramas of the mountains. Upon reaching the picturesque village of Lachung, surrounded by apple orchards and snow-capped peaks, check into your lodge for a cozy evening.

Day - 4

Lachung: The Valley of Flowers

Rise early for an excursion to Yumthang Valley, often called the "Valley of Flowers." Majestic peaks surround this grazing pasture, where the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary bursts into vibrant color during spring. You can visit the natural Hot Springs believed to have medicinal properties or simply soak in the tranquility of the river flowing through the meadows. The landscape here is pristine, offering a true sense of Himalayan wilderness before we return to your hotel.

Day - 5

Gangtok: Return from the Highlands

After a final breakfast amidst the alpine scenery, we retrace our scenic path back to Gangtok. The drive allows you to witness the changing vegetation from alpine scrub back to lush subtropical forests. Upon arrival in Gangtok, check into your hotel. The rest of the evening is at your leisure to relax or explore the local markets for traditional Sikkimese handicrafts and souvenirs.

Day - 6

Pelling: Culture & The Westward Drive

We begin the day exploring Gangtok’s cultural gems, including the Do-drul Chorten stupa, the Research Institute of Tibetology, and the vibrant Directorate of Handicrafts. In the afternoon, we drive to Pelling in West Sikkim. This destination is renowned for offering the closest and most majestic views of Mount Kanchenjunga. Check into your hotel and enjoy the serenity of this historic town nestled in the heart of nature.

Day - 7

Pelling: Skywalks & Holy Lakes

Today is dedicated to the wonders of West Sikkim. Walk the glass Skywalk to visit the towering Chenrezig Statue and explore the historic Pemayangtse Monastery, one of the oldest in the state. Nature lovers will be enchanted by the Rimbi Waterfall and the sacred Khecheopalri Lake, known as the "wishing lake," where birds are said to remove falling leaves from the water. Conclude with the thunderous grandeur of the Kanchenjunga Waterfalls.

Day - 8

Darjeeling: Tea Garden Trails

We bid farewell to Sikkim and drive south to West Bengal, heading towards Darjeeling, the iconic "Queen of Hills." The journey offers a scenic transition from rugged mountains to rolling slopes covered in endless emerald-green tea bushes. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and soak in the colonial charm of this historic hill station. The cool evening air and the distant view of the peaks set the perfect mood for the final leg of your adventure.

Day - 9

Darjeeling: Sunrise & Snow Leopards

Rise before dawn for an excursion to Tiger Hill. Watch as the first rays of the sun paint the massive Kanchenjunga range in hues of gold and pink—an unforgettable spectacle. On the return, visit the Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop. Later, explore the Japanese Temple, the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (home to Red Pandas), and the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. End the day with a panoramic view of a sprawling tea estate.

Day - 10
