Day - 1
Arrival in Jammu
Arrive in Jammu, often known as the “City of Temples,” and proceed to Katra, the sacred base town for the revered shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. Nestled in the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains, Katra welcomes thousands of devotees throughout the year. Upon arrival, check in and relax as you prepare for the spiritual journey ahead.
Day - 2
Vaishno Devi Darshan
Early morning, begin your pilgrimage to the holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, one of India’s most significant and widely visited spiritual destinations. Located amidst the Trikuta Hills, the shrine attracts devotees seeking blessings and divine grace. The traditional route involves a scenic uphill walk, though options such as helicopter services, ponies, palanquins, and battery cars are available for convenience. After darshan, devotees may continue to the Bhairo Temple, considered an important part of completing the pilgrimage. Return to Katra and spend the evening at leisure.
Day - 3
Katra to Pahalgam
After breakfast, drive towards Pahalgam, popularly known as the “Valley of Shepherds.” The journey passes through picturesque mountain landscapes and scenic river valleys. Pahalgam is a charming hill resort set along the Lidder River, surrounded by pine forests and snow-capped peaks. It serves as the base for various trekking routes and the annual pilgrimage to the Holy Amarnath Cave. Upon arrival, check in and unwind amidst nature’s serenity.
Day - 4
Pahalgam
Today explore the breathtaking surroundings of Pahalgam. Visit Aru Valley, known for its expansive meadows and tranquil atmosphere. Continue to Betab Valley, a scenic landscape framed by lush greenery and majestic mountains. Proceed to Chandanwari, the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra, set against a dramatic Himalayan backdrop. In the afternoon, you may choose to visit Baisaran Valley, a vast grassy meadow often referred to as “Mini Switzerland,” offering panoramic views and a peaceful setting. Return to Pahalgam in the evening.
Day - 5
Pahalgam to Gulmarg
After breakfast, proceed to Gulmarg, passing through traditional Kashmiri countryside, saffron fields, and orchards. Gulmarg, meaning “Meadow of Flowers,” is one of Kashmir’s most scenic destinations. Once a favored retreat during the British era, it retains its charming village-like character. It is also home to one of the highest golf courses in the world and becomes a prominent ski resort during winter. You may opt to experience the famous Gondola ride, offering spectacular views of the surrounding peaks and alpine slopes.
Day - 6
Gulmarg to Srinagar
After breakfast, drive to Srinagar and transfer to your hotel or houseboat. In the afternoon, enjoy a traditional Shikara ride on Dal Lake. Cruise through serene waters, passing floating gardens, lotus blooms, vegetable patches, and traditional wooden houseboats. You may also explore local handicraft centers known for papier-mâché artistry and intricate wood carvings. Overnight in Srinagar.
Day - 7
Excursion to Sonamarg
Proceed for a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, famously known as the “Meadow of Gold.” The drive offers magnificent views of the Sind Valley, lined with dense forests and towering mountains. Sonamarg is renowned for its pristine alpine scenery and serves as a gateway to high-altitude trekking routes. Visit Thajiwas Glacier, where snow can be seen for much of the year. In the late afternoon, return to Srinagar. Overnight in Srinagar.
Day - 8
Srinagar
After breakfast, begin your local sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Visit the historic Shankaracharya Temple, perched atop a hill offering panoramic views of the city and Dal Lake. Continue to the beautiful Mughal Gardens built during the Mughal era, including Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. These terraced gardens are adorned with cascading fountains, manicured lawns, and vibrant flowerbeds set against the majestic Himalayan backdrop. Visit Cheshma Shahi, known for its natural spring, and the revered Hazratbal Mosque, an important religious site overlooking the lake. The remainder of the day is free for leisure activities and exploring local markets.
Day - 9
Departure from Srinagar
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward journey, carrying with you cherished memories of Kashmir’s spiritual sanctuaries, lush valleys, alpine meadows, and serene lakes.
