Day - 1
Chandigarh – The City Beautiful
Arrive at Chandigarh Airport or Railway Station and transfer to your hotel. After settling in, visit the famous Rock Garden, a unique sculpture garden created by Nek Chand using industrial and home waste. Spread over 40 acres, this artistic marvel showcases mosaics of sculptures, waterfalls, and walled paths. Spend the evening exploring the city's well-planned sectors before dinner.
Day - 2
Dalhousie – Drive to the Colonial Hills
After breakfast, check out and embark on a scenic drive to Dalhousie, a charming hill station retaining its colonial-era grandeur. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the evening, stroll along the Mall Road to experience the local vibe or visit Rang Mahal, which houses the Himachal Emporium, known for its exquisite local handicrafts and embroidered works.
Day - 3
Dalhousie – Mini Switzerland & Singing Hills
Embark on a full-day excursion to Khajjiar, often called "Mini Switzerland" for its saucer-shaped plateau surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests. Enjoy photography or optional horse riding against the backdrop of the Himalayas. Visit Dainkund Peak ("Singing Hill") for panoramic views of the Chenab, Ravi, and Beas rivers. Conclude with a visit to the historic St. John’s Church, famous for its stained-glass windows donated by Lady Elgin.
Day - 4
Dharamshala – Little Lhasa
Drive to Dharamshala, the spiritual headquarters of the Tibetan Government-in-Exile. Check into your hotel and head to the colorful Kotiwali Bazaar to shop for miniature paintings, wood carvings, and tribal jewelry. In the evening, explore the vibrant cafe culture of McLeod Ganj. Relax at popular spots like Illiterati or Shiva Cafe, enjoying delicious Tibetan cuisine and the "Instagram-worthy" mountain panorama.
Day - 5
Dharamshala – Monasteries & Scenic Views
Explore local landmarks including the serene Dal Lake surrounded by deodar trees and the picturesque HPCA Cricket Stadium. Visit the Gyuto Monastery, a premium tantric college of the Gelug Order known for its discipline and peace. In the evening, drive to Naddi View Point for sunset views over the Dhauladhar ranges. Alternatively, you can opt for a full-day adventure trip to Bir Billing for world-class paragliding (optional cost).
Day - 6
Amritsar – The Golden Spiritual Hub
After breakfast, drive down to the plains of Amritsar. Upon arrival, proceed to the Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib), the holiest shrine of Sikhism. Admire the stunning gold and marble architecture reflecting in the Amrit Sarovar (Pool of Nectar). Witness the spiritual atmosphere, which is particularly mesmerizing at sunset when the temple is illuminated.
Day - 7
Departure – Homeward Bound
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Amritsar Airport or Railway Station. Depart for your hometown with wonderful memories of the manicured gardens of Chandigarh, the pine-clad hills of Himachal, and the spiritual serenity of Amritsar.
