Day - 1
Delhi: The Capital's Grandeur
Your exploration of India's heritage begins upon arrival at the airport or railway station. After checking into your hotel, we embark on a tour of the nation's political heart. Pay your respects at Raj Ghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, before driving past the impressive Parliament House and the President’s Estate. We conclude the day at the majestic India Gate, a war memorial that stands as a tribute to the country's heroes.
Day - 2
Delhi: Ancient Stones & Modern Spirit
Today, dive deeper into Delhi's rich history. Marvel at the intricate craftsmanship of the Akshardham Temple before stepping back in time at Humayun’s Tomb, a precursor to the Taj Mahal. Visit the soaring Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In the evening, witness the history of the Mughal era come alive with the spectacular Sound and Light Show (optional) at the historic Red Fort.
Day - 3
Agra: The Epitome of Love
We journey south to Agra, the city of the Taj. After settling into your hotel, prepare for the tour's highlight: the Taj Mahal. Witness this sublime white marble masterpiece, a global symbol of eternal love. The exploration continues at the Agra Fort, a massive red sandstone citadel that served as the seat of the Mughal Empire. Later, browse the local markets known for their exquisite marble inlay work.
Day - 4
Jaipur: Arrival in the Pink City
We leave the Mughal plains for the vibrant hills of Rajasthan. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in and head straight for the hills. Explore the commanding Amber Fort and the rugged Jaigarh Fort standing guard above it. The evening is best spent back at Amber Fort, where an optional Sound and Light Show illuminates the ramparts, narrating the valorous history of the Rajput kings.
Day - 5
Jaipur: Palaces and Observatories
Dedicate this day to the architectural wonders of the Pink City. Capture the perfect photo at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) before exploring the royal City Palace complex and the fascinating astronomical instruments of Jantar Mantar. Visit the beautiful Laxmi Narayan Temple and the Albert Hall Museum. Conclude the day with a vibrant shopping excursion in the bustling Johari and Bapu Bazaars, famous for jewelry and textiles.
Day - 6
Bikaner: The Desert Citadel
We traverse the arid landscapes to the desert city of Bikaner. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Explore the imposing Junagarh Fort, a formidable structure famous for never being conquered and for its ornate interiors. Visit the magnificent Lalgarh Palace, a blend of Rajput, Mughal, and European styles. Later, gain unique insights into desert life at the National Research Centre on Camel.
Day - 7
Mandawa: The Open-Air Art Gallery
Our journey continues to the Shekhawati region, arriving in the quaint town of Mandawa. Check into a heritage hotel that itself feels like a museum. Mandawa is renowned as an "open-air art gallery," where the streets are lined with Havelis (mansions) adorned with intricate frescoes and colorful wall paintings. Spend the day at leisure, wandering the lanes and admiring the artistic heritage that decorates every corner.
Day - 8
Departure: Farewell to Heritage
After breakfast, we bid farewell to the painted towns and desert forts. We drive back to Jaipur, where you will be transferred to the airport or railway station for your onward connection, carrying with you a rich tapestry of memories from the Golden Triangle and Shekhawati.
