Your trip in a nutshell

Traverse the spiritual and wild corridors of the Himalayan foothills. Your exploration anchors in the Kathmandu Valley, bowing before the sacred Pashupatinath on the Bagmati banks and circling the massive mandala of Boudhanath Stupa. Contrast these spiritual heights with the architectural density of Patan Durbar Square and the panoramic vistas from the hilltop Swayambhunath Stupa. The journey descends into the subtropical lowlands of Chitwan National Park for elephant safaris and Tharu cultural encounters. Ascend once more to Pokhara, the gateway to the Annapurnas. Here, catch the sunrise painting the peaks gold at Sarangkot, visit the subterranean Gupteshwor Cave, and witness the thunderous Devi’s Fall before completing your loop.

Itinerary

Day - 1

Kathmandu: Gateway to the Himalayas

Your journey into the Himalayan Kingdom begins as we greet you at the airport. We transfer you to your hotel in the heart of the capital. Kathmandu is a living museum, a vibrant blend of ancient history and modern energy, nestled in a valley surrounded by green hills. Spend your first evening soaking in the unique atmosphere of this cultural hub, preparing for the spiritual and architectural wonders that lie ahead.

Day - 2

Kathmandu: A Tapestry of Faith

Today, we explore the spiritual soul of the valley. Visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple on the banks of the Bagmati River, a pivotal site for Hindu pilgrims. Continue to the colossal stupa of Boudhanath, the center of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. We then cross the river to Patan, the "City of Fine Arts," renowned for its concentrated Durbar Square and exquisite metalwork. Conclude with a climb to Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) for panoramic views of the city under the watchful eyes of the Buddha.

Day - 3

Chitwan: Descending to the Terai

We leave the hills behind and take a scenic drive down to the lush Terai plains. En route, you have the option to visit the wish-fulfilling Manakamana Temple via a thrilling cable car ride or enjoy a splash of whitewater rafting on the Trishuli River. Our destination is Chitwan, one of Asia’s premier wildlife reserves. Upon arrival, check into your jungle lodge and feel the air change from cool mountain breeze to the humid, earthy scent of the dense forest.

Day - 4

Chitwan: The Call of the Wild

Dedicate the day to the rhythm of the jungle. Embark on a wildlife safari—traditionally on elephant back or by jeep—to track the One-Horned Rhinoceros and, if luck permits, the Royal Bengal Tiger. Glide silently down the Rapti River in a dugout canoe to spot crocodiles and water birds. The day often includes a guided nature walk to understand the flora. In the evening, immerse yourself in the local culture with a vibrant Tharu stick dance performance.

Day - 5

Pokhara: The Lake City

We journey west to Pokhara, a city celebrated for its laid-back charm and spectacular scenery. As you approach, the massive peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges dominate the skyline, reflecting beautifully in the calm waters of Phewa Lake. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. The evening is perfect for a leisurely stroll along the lakeside, enjoying the cafes and the majestic mountain backdrop.

Day - 6

Pokhara: Sunrise & Subterranean Wonders

Rise before dawn for an excursion to Sarangkot, the ultimate viewpoint to witness the sunrise turning the snow-capped Himalayas into gold. After breakfast, we explore the city's treasures: the historic Bindhyabasini Temple, dedicated to Goddess Durga, and the thunderous Devi’s Fall, where the stream vanishes underground. Just across lies the Gupteshwor Cave, a limestone cavern housing a sacred shrine.

Day - 7

Kathmandu: The Scenic Return

We enjoy a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, winding through river valleys and terraced fields. Upon returning to the capital, check into your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. This is an excellent opportunity to explore the tourist hub of Thamel for trekking gear, pashminas, or intricate Thangka paintings, or simply to relax and reflect on your Himalayan adventure.

Day - 8

Departure: Farewell to Nepal

After a final breakfast in the shadow of the mountains, your Nepal experience concludes. We ensure a timely transfer to the airport for your onward flight. You depart carrying the blessings of the temples, the thrill of the jungle, and the peace of the mountains.
