Day - 1
Arrival in Srinagar
Arrive in Srinagar and transfer to your hotel or traditional houseboat. In the afternoon, experience the timeless charm of Dal Lake with a serene Shikara ride. Glide through calm waters as you pass floating gardens, lotus blooms, vegetable patches, and narrow canals that reflect the unique lifestyle of families who have lived on the lake for generations. During the ride, you may also visit local handicraft centers known for intricate papier-mâché art and traditional Kashmiri wood carving. Return to your houseboat and relax amidst the tranquil surroundings.
Day - 2
Srinagar
After breakfast, begin your local sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Visit the historic Shankaracharya Temple, perched atop a hill offering panoramic views of the city and Dal Lake. Continue to the beautiful Mughal Gardens built during the Mughal era, including Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. These terraced gardens are adorned with cascading fountains, manicured lawns, and vibrant flowerbeds set against the majestic Himalayan backdrop. Visit Cheshma Shahi, known for its natural spring, and the revered Hazratbal Mosque, an important religious site overlooking the lake. The remainder of the day is free for leisure activities and exploring local markets.
Day - 3
Srinagar to Gulmarg
Today proceed to Gulmarg, famously known as the “Meadow of Flowers.” Surrounded by rolling green hills and snow-capped peaks, Gulmarg is one of Kashmir’s most picturesque destinations. Once a favored summer retreat during the British era, the town still retains its charming old-world character. It is also home to one of the highest golf courses in the world and transforms into a popular ski resort during winter months. Upon arrival, check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the natural beauty.
Day - 4
Gulmarg to Pahalgam
After breakfast, drive towards Pahalgam, passing through scenic countryside dotted with saffron fields, apple orchards, and traditional Kashmiri villages. Pahalgam, meaning the “Valley of Shepherds,” is set along the Lidder River and surrounded by pine forests and majestic mountains. It serves as a base for several treks and the annual pilgrimage to the Holy Amarnath Cave. Upon arrival, check in and relax in the serene environment. In the afternoon, you may choose to visit Baisaran Valley, a vast meadow often referred to as “Mini Switzerland,” known for its rolling hills and panoramic views.
Day - 5
Pahalgam
Today explore the scenic valleys around Pahalgam. Visit Aru Valley, admired for its peaceful meadows and pristine mountain views. Continue to Betab Valley, surrounded by lush greenery and dramatic snow-clad peaks. Proceed to Chandanwari, the starting point of the sacred Amarnath Yatra, set amidst striking natural landscapes. After exploring these beautiful locations, return to Pahalgam. Spend the evening at leisure, perhaps strolling through the local market.
Day - 6
Return to Srinagar
After breakfast, drive back to Srinagar for your onward journey. Your tour concludes with wonderful memories of Kashmir’s lakes, valleys, meadows, and timeless natural beauty.
